What is Art 'N The Loft? Art 'N The Loft is a Creative Studio with teaching, sharing and creating art in mind. Jennifer Buckley McCall, a local Tifton artist, wanted to share her passion of Art with others and also have an environment that could encourage others to not only learn at any skill level, but also to have fun making art. Art 'N The Loft is open to ages 5 and up, no experience required.
The Art 'N The Loft studio is located at 409 Love Avenue, in historic downtown Tifton, beside attorney, R.R. Buckley, Jr's offices.
When Jennifer began Art N The Loft, she wanted to teach in a studio setting with a downtown vibe-- like an Artist's Loft. After several venues accomodating her several classes, Jennifer was able to begin working on a place of her own.
The new location is split into two separate areas: a classroom and Jennifer's private studio that also is a small gallery of Jennifer's most recent works.
Jennifer is a native of Tifton, Georgia. Realizing her love for painting at a very young age, she knew she would always be an artist.
After graduating from Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she became a graphic designer professionally, but never forgot her need to express herself through painting. She has continued to work as designer for over twelve years, and considers herself fortunate to be a successful artist in the working world, as well as a fine artist.
After working for several large companies throughout the South as a designer, marketing director and web design instructor for a local college, she has settled back in her hometown of Tifton. She lives there with her husband and children. She also works for Tift Regional Medical Center as a marketing specialist/graphic designer.
Jennifer is an accomplished fine artist, able to teach a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, oils, and pastels. She has taught art privately as well as for Abraham Baldwin College's Continuing Education program and the Abraham Baldwin Museum of Agriculture's Bottles and Brushes series as a guest instructor.
Jennifer is also a portraitist and a member of the Southeastern Pastel Society.
